Any information we collect is done so in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Personally identifiable information

Registration.When you register on the Hive web site, we collect your name, email address and contact details.
We keep a record of this information so that we can recognise you as a registered customer and provide you with the optimal customer experience.
We will never collect sensitive information about you without your consent and we will never share this information with anyone else.
You can check the information that we have about you at any time by logging into your account. If you find any inaccuracies, please let us know and we will delete or correct them for you.
Bookings. The Make Lounge collects certain information about you to enable you to use our bookings system, to process your order, and to provide you with the best possible services. We keep a record of bookings so we can contact you about any problems, and can communicate with you about any relevant offers that might interest you. We will never share this information with anyone else.

Non-personally identifying information

As a charity, we are requested by our funders to collect certain information about our service users, in order to enable them to monitor our demographic reach. This information is collected in the "monitoring" section of Hive's User Registration Form.
We will never pass on this information to a third party in a state that allows the identification of the individuals who have provided it. Whilst we would encourage service users to fill in this "monitoring" section of the User Registration Form, it is not a requirement of registering or booking.
In order to make Hive's web site more interesting and useful, we may collect information through technology that does not identify you personally. This information may also be used to optimise website performance within a given browser and increase the speed of navigation and carrying out transactions within our site.


Hive uses cookies on its web site to recognise and track users as well as to help provide its customers with a pleasing online experience. Cookies are small text files that web sites can send to your computer. They allow us to make the use of Hive's web site faster and easier for users.

We will not use your personal information for any purpose other than as mentioned in this policy nor will we disclose to any third parties except as may be required by law, although if Hive is sold to a third party at any time then your personal information will pass to the new owner – they will be bound by this privacy policy.

We reserve the right to make changes to this policy from time to time as our service expands and needs change – changes will normally take effect within one month of posting and so you are advised to check this policy periodically. However, we take your privacy seriously and will email you if we feel that we are changing these terms significantly so that you are aware of any changes. Please note that emails will be sent to your latest registered email address and we cannot guarantee delivery.
